Every Crafted Gates model fits openings from 27.6" to 55" wide and stands 33" tall — Crypton®, Milliken®, Oil Waxed Canvas, and Valdese Weavers InsideOut® are all built to the same dimensions.

Crafted Gates mount to any opening with two solid surfaces on either side — stairways, hallways, doorways, or open-plan spaces. No banister-specific hardware needed.

It depends on the fabric. Milliken® and Valdese Weavers InsideOut® are built for indoor/outdoor use. Crypton® is designed for indoor use. Oil Waxed Canvas is naturally weatherproof and holds up well in both settings.

Crypton® — stain, spill, and odor resistant; PFAS-free; GREENGUARD Gold certified. Best for indoor family living.
Milliken® (Alpine) — 100% recycled polyester, UV-resistant and fade-proof, OEKO-TEX® and GRS certified. Built for indoor/outdoor use.
Oil Waxed Canvas — heavyweight waxed cotton canvas, waterproof and mold-resistant, develops a natural patina over time.
Valdese Weavers InsideOut® — bleach-cleanable, liquid- and fade-resistant, GREENGUARD Gold certified. Designed to move between indoor and outdoor spaces.

Most installations take under 30 minutes from unboxing to first use.

The hardware kit includes everything needed, with labeled components. Standard wall anchors are included for drywall; for tile, stone, or hardwood trim, a masonry or wood bit is recommended.

No — mounting brackets secure into standard door frames, stair posts, and wall studs without oversized holes or a handyman.

Yes — free standard shipping within the continental U.S. on orders of $100 or more. Orders under $100 show the shipping fee at checkout.

Orders placed Monday–Thursday ship within 24 hours. Orders placed Friday, weekends, or holidays ship the following business day.

Yes — contact customer care for a Return Authorization before sending anything back. Unauthorized returns may be refused.

Yes — a $25 restocking fee applies to all approved returns, deducted from the refund. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
